If you’re trying to grow your YouTube channel, here’s a quick pro tip that can make a real difference — and it only takes 2 seconds to implement.
I recently stumbled across this little gem while clicking through one of John Chow’s YouTube links. Instead of just sending users to his channel, the link automatically popped up a prompt to subscribe. Genius, right?
Here’s the trick:
👉 Add ?sub_confirmation=1 to the end of your YouTube channel URL.
So instead of just linking to:
https://www.youtube.com/@jeffreypape2903
You would link to:
Now when someone clicks that link, they’ll see a pop-up box asking them to confirm subscribing to your channel. No need to hunt for the red button. It puts the subscribe call-to-action front and center.
🔧 How to Use It:
Add it to your email signature
Embed it on your website
Share it on social media
Use it in calls-to-action on blog posts or landing pages
🧪 Want to test it out?
Click below to see it in action (and subscribe while you’re at it 😄):🔗 https://www.youtube.com/@jeffreypape2903?sub_confirmation=1
This tiny tweak adds frictionless value and is especially helpful if you’re using YouTube for education, marketing, or brand visibility.
